I Am Not Alone. We Are Not Alone.

I Am Not Alone. We Are Not Alone.

I am not the only woman struggling in this moment in time, or feeling physically and emotionally worn out. I am not the only one walking through a difficult season that is stretching my faith like a rubber band.

We are not alone.

I am not the only one who is yearning for God to do a miracle of provision or desiring for more of His light in our dark world. I am not the only one trying to put one shaky foot in front of the other as she follows Him.

We are not alone.

I am not the only one feeling I don’t have what it takes but knowing the One who is more than enough or trying to dream God-sized dreams while living in a finite body. I am not the only one trying to step out of the boat, but tempted to stay where it feels comfortable.

We are not alone.

So instead of giving up or giving in. Instead of becoming apathetic or disengaged…

Let. Us. Rise.

Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.

See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples; but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.

Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness [“radiance” in the NLT] of your dawn.

Isaiah 60:1-3 NIV

Let us rise together…

To pray more diligently

To trust more fully

To step out more courageously

To let it go. Just let go.

To rest more intentionally.

To rejoice more joyfully.

To fight more valiantly.

Let us rise together to be radiant daughters of the most High God. Let us reflect His glory, the glory of the One and Only because He deserves it and because we are not alone!

There are ones who have gone before us and ones to come behind. How will this moment be written in the storyline of our lives? What will our decision be today?

Together, Let Us Rise!

About Erin Nicole Thompson

Erin Nicole Thompson is a fun-loving and authentic momma to 4 littles, wife of a ruggedly handsome Pastor, and as she likes to think, the CEO of her home operations. She delights in worship, cooking with good music, the sweet faces of her sleeping children, adult conversations, and some quiet time at Starbucks. She loves to serve alongside, encourage, and equip young and seasoned women. Erin is grateful to be part of what God is doing at The Chapel, a multi-campus church in Northern Chicago-land where her husband, Dave, pastors the Lake Zurich Campus. Presently, she lives to dream and follow God as he writes her story.
