2018: Re-New & Re-envision Your Year

2018: Re-New & Re-envision Your Year

This is what I sense is my vision statement for 2018, what is yours?

“Abundance.”

It’s time to pray. Differently. Passionately. Powerfully. Unceasingly. Strategically. Intentionally.

Fervently.

Eyes wide open to our real enemy. Ears hearing thru to the real problems. Empowered by the Holy Spirit to walk in true freedom. Hearts melting under the heat of God’s love being molded to feel, see, hear, and o as the Father does.

Like Jesus. For Jesus.

My King.

Jesus.

Abundance – one way or the other. Personally. Relationally. Financially. Corporately. Emotionally. Physically. Spiritually.

X marks the spot. A dash marks the starting line. And we have crossed it. The race has begun. The journey embarked on. The pursuit in progress.

We are climbing this mountain of faith together. To experience His abundance.

Thank you Father that is what I want! Help me desire it, seek it, feel it, accomplish it thru you.

“Never stop praying.

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Do not stifle the Holy Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 5:17-19).

“And I am certain that He who began the good work in you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (Philippians 1:6).

As I opened a fresh prayer journal for 2018 to its first page, the above statement is what I wrote. I believe this is the heart, vision and will of God for me.

I have been reading a book on strategic prayer, Fervent by Priscilla Shirer. It has reminded me once again to importance of focus and strategic prayer with our eyes opened to the real enemy around us.

If you struggling to figure out where to start this new year join me in reading this book. If you are in our local area, The Chapel is offering several Women’s Large Group studies by Priscillia Shirer that partner with the heart of this book called Armor of God. Join us at The Chapel: Lake Zurich!

Be Brilliant: “We” instead of “Me”

Be Brilliant: “We” instead of “Me”

It is a mad craze out there, isn’t it?

As we prepare for Christmas, parking lots are like a game of bumper cars. Schedules feel like control top pantyhose. Christmas spending is a haze that will lead us into a depressed daze come January. And don’t get me started about the stress of trying to get a decent family photo. It ain’t happening. Not this year. (So I’m sorry your Christmas card is not in the mail. Look for a nice photo on Facebook in 2018. ;))

As I have been out running around trying to check things off, what appears to be as long as Santa’s global gift, list. There has only been one thing that has brought me true joy in every long line I linger in. People.

At first many of them have that glazed over, sugar crashed look just like mine. But as soon as I smile and say, “Merry  Christmas,” we both seem to light up.

We have six days till Jesus’ birthday. Our natural inclination is going to be to focus inward on our lists, ourselves and our families. But I am beseeching you to go against that instinct and be brilliant.Continue reading

So I said Hi, “hot pants” and all.

I got out! Relieved by my In-loves, I escaped the homestead. I drove to my favorite local coffee shop and perched out on their patio. Void of the whines and woes of my kids, I was excited to have clear air waves to…Continue reading

what does a New Year hold for you?

what does a New Year hold for you?

What does 2015 hold for you?

It holds what is in your hands. It holds what you reach out for. It holds what you take hold of.

It holds what your heart is willing to open itself to. Where your feet are willing to walk. Wherever you sights are willing to be set. What your mind is willing to dream. Whatever your hands are willing to receive.

It may hold Continue reading

I Am Not Alone. We Are Not Alone.

I Am Not Alone. We Are Not Alone.

I am not the only woman struggling in this moment in time, or feeling physically and emotionally worn out. I am not the only one walking through a difficult season that is stretching my faith like a rubber band.

We are not alone.

I am not the only one who is yearning for God to do a miracle of provision or desiring for more of His light in our dark world. I am not the only one trying to put one shaky foot in front of the other as she follows Him.

We are not alone.

I am not the only one feeling I don’t have what it takes but knowing the One who is more than enough or trying to dream God-sized dreams while living in a finite body. I am not the only one trying to step out of the boat, but tempted to stay where it feels comfortable.

We are not alone.

So instead of giving up or giving in. Instead of becoming apathetic or disengaged…Continue reading
